Nezu area

Today I decided to go to Nezu station and visit the area.

Nezu shrine:

It's reminding me Fushimi Inari in Kyoto:

Monaka: wafer cake filled with vanilla ice cream
Yummy---

A French restaurant:
Isetatsu shop, where they sell decorative paper craft:
I bought this set of paper crafts:

Yokohama

I went to Yokohama about two weeks ago.
It's been more than a year and a half since I didn't go there.
Yokohama is a major commercial hub of the Tokyo area.
This city is well known for its China town, and I love its steamed buns (even if I think that 551's ones are the best)

The nearest station from the China town (Motomachi Chuukagai):
The famous gate of the entrance of the China town
It was very crowded...

This shop was selling some xiaolongbao, Chinese soup dumpling...
Slurp...
I always wanted to try once...
And I was really hungry...

It was good..really good...and hot:
So many restaurants...

Then I went to Minato Mirai, the harbour area of Yokohama:
I had my lunch there, steamed bun with shark pieces:
(Really) Sticky Chinese rice with meat pieces:
A normal steamed pork bun:
A nice park to have a walk...

Akarenga, literary: red bricks
There are a lot of cute shops inside, I just spend more than 2 hours stopping myself not to buy everything. Unfortunately, taking pictures was forbidden...
The Nissin cup noodles museum where you can create your own customized cup noodles!
Didn't go there, but will go next time:

Away from the point but I found that in a supermarket....
So Frenchy-Japanesy
And for dinner I went to a restaurant to eat noodles:

I was soooo fuuuuuull.....but sooo happy♪

Jazz bar

I went to my friend's band concert which took place in a jazz bar, near the Tokyo dome (Suidoubashi station).
The atmosphere of the bar was quite nice:
Tokyo KURABU (Club):
 j.s.p band was performing today:

As soon as you entered in the bar, you are cut off from the rest of the world:

It should be romantic to come at night and listen some jazz music...
Songs were nice.
It's always impressive to see a performance so closely...

I recommend you one song: Typhoon of Piano Jac

Valentine day!

Hi everybody!!
How was your valentine day?
Romantic? Busy?
In Japan, women give chocolate to men. Handmade chocolate for your lover and a bought one for your friends/colleagues/family...
But now you have so many kind of chocolates: "friend choco", "thank you choco" etc.
In exchange, men are supposed to give back on March 14th to the girl 10 times the value of what they get.

Anyway, as far as I'm in Japan I wanted to make some handmade chocolates.
I went last Saturday at my friend's place(whose husband is a pastry chef)to learn how to make some chocolate.

First we put some food-coloring in a tin:
After that you put some melted chocolate and it comes like this:
We also made some Eiffel tower chocolates:
This one is nice too, quite proud of myself:
I bought some decoration. Each item only cost 100yen!!!!
Then on Monday night, a colleague and I made some truffles.
Quite easy to make, only chocolate, fresh cream, butter and cocoa powder are required.
 Choco ball candy:
Tried some jam with raspberry, blueberry, strawberry and a lot of sugar:
 Taste was good!

I also cooked some crepes and brought everything with my colleague at work.
Tadaaaaam:

Chocolates and crepes had a lot of success!!!
Mission cleared!!!
